Speech Pathologist

Location: Wollongong and Shoalhaven, NSW

As a new business of Community Gateway, you will be key in developing a supportive, positive team culture that will create value-based recognition and how this is demonstrated to our employees.

The role:

You will use your creativity to lead and develop a high quality, evidence-based therapy service to our clients in this newly created position. You will work closely with the General Manager of Gateway Life to use your advanced clinical skills to empower our clients to optimise their best life.

About you:

  • Degree in Speech Pathologist and current registration with regulating body

  • Greater than 4 years of experience working with a variety of multidisciplinary aged care services, NDIS, and work cover environments

  • Demonstrated ability to design, assessment models for successful development of individualised programs for clients living in the community

  • Passion for achieving optimal living for clients

  • Knowledge of wellness, re-ablement and restorative care approaches

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a team, and independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated computer literacy and willingness to utilise required software

  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license and a reliable registered vehicle

  • A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain

  • A current criminal history record check or willingness to obtain

  • A current NDIS worker screening check or willingness to obtain

  • Current COVID vaccination and relevant booster if appropriate
