Location: Wollongong, NSW

Position: Full-Time

About the role

We are looking for a passionate, creative and entrepreneurial leader to develop and deliver programs enabling our clients to develop and grow based on the principles of social inclusion, choice and control, enablement, empowerment, and independence.

The role leads a small team of direct reports with a focus on developing and growing this business arm across all regions ensuring services are designed for quality and efficiency ensuring clients have a superior experience when participating in Community Gateway programs.


The person must be comfortable in a leadership role, with networking and business development, promoting the Community Gateway brand and be driven to create new business streams to meet existing need and attract new clients.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in the aged and disability care sector

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in management of multidisciplinary teams

  • Proven experience in pursuing strategic opportunities to identify new markets, products and/services

  • Commercially astute with the ability to manage budgets and staffing utilisation

  • Well-developed current knowledge of the NDIS and My Aged Care

  • Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring services and programs

  • Experience in business development, creating new business streams and markets

  • Proven experience in operational management with set organisational targets

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 

  • Effective time management skills

  • Ability to travel between offices regularly

  • Current driver license

  • A current Working with Children Check and current NDIS Worker Screening Check. 

  • Proof of COVID 19 Vaccination or exemption
